150° Anniversary of the foundation of the Hanbury Botanical Gardens
1867-2017
CALENDAR OF EVENTS
MARCH-DECEMBER 2017
The events will take place at the Hanbury Botanical Gardens except where indicated otherwise.150 years after the arrival of Thomas Hanbury, the Hanbury Botanical Gardens continue to live by the planning ideas of its founder and his brother Daniel.
2017 will be a special year of celebrations to commemorate this event and it will give everyone a chance to rediscover many peculiarities of the garden. The Center and its activities will be sometimes seen through the eyes of the past, sometimes with an eye towards the future and sometimes with "no eyes" by sensing scents, shapes and by touching and tasting flavors.
Through many artistic disciplines, relevant scientific works, exhibitions and dedicated and specialized books, it will give to the public the chance to appreciate the Hanbury Botanical Gardens in many different ways.
From spring to late winter there will be many opportunities to get to know how much the Hanbury family legacy has taken root in the Ventimiglia area and how much of this is still appreciated by those who live here, one and a half centuries later.
