In the nursery area there are two greenhouses: a wooden greenhouse for succulent plants and a newly built greenhouse equipped for multiplication and for planting new plants in the gardens.
In 2014, the latter was equipped with a system that has provided, among other things, the use of photovoltaic panels in a photoactive material of copper and indium diselenide (CIS) newly designed , inserted inside of the glasses of the greenhouse. It is expected to reduce the energy consumption for the greenhouse and for the chillers that help to preserve the seeds in the laboratory for biodiversity. The main purpose of this installation is, however, educational: to stimulate reflection and proposing advanced solutions to prevent the waste of natural resources.
