"On the artist’s paths: 150 years of the Hanbury Gardens illustrated with needle and thread"

The exhibition will be open on the following days: 9th, 10th, 15th, 16th, 17th, 27th, 28th, 29th e 30th December during the opening times of the gardens.
The Hanbury Botanical Gardens Service Center follows a collaboration with the "Magia di Punti" Association of Imperia, which began in Spring 2012 with a great show, much appreciated by the audience, in the halls of Hanbury Palace, and proposes a new exhibition on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the foundation of the Hanbury Botanical Gardens. The Association has enthusiastically welcomed the proposal to take part in new creations at celebrations of the centenary and to offer the public the opportunity to appreciate again the delicacy and the extreme precision and harmony of the artifacts exhibited in the elegant interior of Hanbury Palace specially Furnished for the occasion. There are also two embroidery labs "Bandera" and "Shadow point on Organza", on reservation, which will be highly appreciated by embroidery enthusiasts.
You can also visit the exhibition of watercolors dedicated to flowers and succulents plants of the artist Mara Bertin.
During this event visitors are offered the opportunity to taste a classic "afternoon tea" (English afternoon tee accompanied by pastry assortment) in the beautiful Room of Fireplaces on the 2nd floor of Hanbury Palace (see detailed program).
The "Magia di Punti" Association was born in Imperia in 2001 from the idea of a small group of friends sharing the taste for beautiful things with the aim of promoting and rediscovering manual arts such as embroidery, patchwork, tombolo , Macramé and others. The main objective of the association is to spread and develop through the realization of national and international exhibitions, ancient and wonderful arts intended as a means of artistic, cultural, moral and psychological training in aiming to recover and safeguard an almost disappeared heritage and at the same time implement the formation of an artistic group engaged in the realization of small works of art, unique pieces for the purpose of dissemination and demonstration.
