MARE NOSTRUM

Exhibition of the works of Giacomo Barberis

Inauguration open to the public on Saturday 17 June from 16:00 to 18:30

The Hanbury Botanical Gardens are pleased to host the works of Giacomo Barberis in the rooms on the ground floor of Palazzo Hanbury, offering visitors the opportunity to appreciate his works and to discover the interiors of the Palazzo.

"Trained as an architect, once his working period is over, Barberis finds creative continuity in painting by proceeding on diversified research paths and experimenting with some techniques preceding the fertile impressionism. Passionate about diving, he continues to paint, despite his visual problems, his beloved sea, expressing itself in a completely personal way with vague and indefinite contours that clearly suggest its liquidity and movement.

This exhibition, without intending to be anthological, hints at a variegated path with intermediate works"
